About VIVA FOUNDATION FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER
Cancer is the second leading cause of death in children here. These are young lives just beginning, we at VIVA Foundation believe that every child deserves the chance to live, thrive.
For 20 years, VIVA Foundation for Children with Cancer has worked to ensure no child faces cancer alone—funding research, supporting families, and pushing for better and more accessible treatments.
VIVA Foundation will continue our mission of saving lives of children with cancer through providing childhood cancer research, care and support programmes.
VIVA - the golden elephant
VIVA, the Golden Elephant, is a symbol of care, strength, and hope. Elephants are known for their deep bonds and the way they protect and nurture their young—standing close, guiding them, and never leaving them behind. This reflects the heart of VIVA Foundation’s work: walking alongside children and their families with compassion and support.

Elephants are also often associated with resilience and are believed to have a natural resistance to cancer, making them a powerful emblem for a foundation dedicated to saving the lives of children with cancer through medical care, research and education. At the heart of our work is a commitment to improving the quality of life of young patients and survivors, as we stand alongside their families throughout their journey.

More than a mascot, VIVA represents courage, love, and the strength that grows when no one faces challenges alone. Bold, golden, and full of heart, VIVA stands as a reminder that even in difficult moments, there is hope—and every child thrives!
